About the role
As Front of House Manager, you will oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality are met. You will lead, inspire, and develop a team dedicated to delivering excellence while cultivating a welcoming and professional environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily front-of-house and reservation operations, including reception, concierge, and guest services.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor and maintain service standards, addressing feedback proactively.
- Support the planning and execution of events, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Maintain our PMS and provide relevant reporting and analysis of reservations.
- Uphold Skibo Castle's commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and highly organised individual with a passion for luxury hospitality.
Essential skills and experience
- Proven experience in a front-of-house management role, ideally within luxury hospitality.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive problem-solver.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Experience in central reservation systems
- Reservation and revenue management skills
- Hospitality or management-related qualification would be an advantage

About gratuities & service charge
Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to room rates and other services at the Club that is passed directly to staff) are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of their role.
It is estimated that in 2024, full-time staff can expect to receive around £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
