Membership and Strategy at The Carnegie Club
- The Membership and Strategy team is crucial to delivering the exceptional experiences that produce lifelong memories for members and guests of the Club.

- The Membership and Strategy department focuses on providing outstanding service through the planning and scheduling of all the aspects of a visit that make each member's stay at the Club phenomenal.
About the role
- Working with our existing events calendar and the support of our Events team, you'll improve existing events, develop exciting new ones, and support in deliver these to Skibo standards.
- You'll support the implementation of members' events, from pre-planning to execution, and adopt a commercial approach throughout the process.
- You'll plan dining arrangements, manage finances, handle supply orders and deliveries, and oversee the various other logistical processes involved in event planning.
- When events are taking place, you'll be on site to ensure that each element goes according to plan. From managing the running order to hosting guest speakers to supervising suppliers, you'll be there overseeing the event from start to finish.
- You'll develop our calendar with an exciting variety of events and members' trips designed to add value to our membership offering.
- You'll build strong relationships with all operational departments and department heads to ensure the smooth running of Club operations.
- Collaborating with the Front of House and Member Liaison teams, you'll operate across all areas of our estate to ensure that our members have the best possible experience during their stay with us.
Who we are looking for
- Working in a role that will have you engaging with our members regularly, you have excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Vibrant, engaging, enthusiastic, and warm, you love being around people and delivering exceptional experiences.
- You hold significant experience operating in a management position within a five-star hotel or equivalent luxury establishment.
- With an ability to thrive under pressure, you're an expert organiser who can troubleshoot and solve problems with ease.
- You're knowledgeable about industry and worldwide trends and always searching for new ways to deliver the best possible event experiences.
- You have an eagle-eye for detail and can manage various stakeholders to navigate changes in requirements with finesse and efficiency.
- You bring your good energy and positivity to motivate those around you, working with multiple departments to curate the stays of our members and guests.

About gratuities and service charge
- Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to room rates and other services at the Club that is passed directly to staff) are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of their role.
- It is estimated that in 2024, full-time staff can expect to receive around £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
